Cabin for Lease - Wimberley
The cabin is located on a quiet country road a few miles from the Wimberley Square--off FM #3237 and Deer Lake Estates, near St. Stephens. It sits at the entrance to our ranch on Lone Man Creek. It was built as a hunting cabin in the 1970's and we've remodeled it over the years to make it more suitable as a permanent residence. There is a dam and semi-private lake adjacent to the cabin.
The cabin has 500 sq. ft. of living space plus an attached utility room of about 110 sq. ft. It has central heat and air, two ceiling fans, a water well, and septic system. Floors are vinyl tile. Original long leaf pine lines the walls and the pitched ceilings. The living room has a functional wood burning fireplace. "Step saver" kitchen includes a 2-burner cook top, vent-a-hood, under the counter refrigerator and toaster oven, and stained glass window. There is not a dishwasher, disposal, or water softener. Bathroom includes a tiled shower, linen cabinet, vent/heater, and storage shelves. There are two 9 'x 7' rooms at the rear of the cabin that can be used as a bedroom and office or dining area. Due to its size, the cabin is suitable for one person only.
The utility room includes washer & dryer, full size refrigerator/freezer, shelving, and extra storage space. There is a Dish Network satelite dish in place plus a conventional TV antenna. Cell service is spotty in this rural location; best results have been with AT&T. A hot spot via AT&T has been a good internet option and service is also available from Dish Network.
We need a tenant who is willing and available to feed our livestock and pets on the occasions when we travel in exchange for a partial credit on the rent. The animals would typically include a few young,very docile and people-friendly cattle, a horse, and 3 cats.
Rent includes water and septic. Tenant would reimburse us for electric (cabin has its own meter). Trash disposal would be extra. No smoking or dogs allowed inside or outside. Pet limit is one cat.
